Roadmap

SquadTwitch is currently still in an early development phase and is therefore not yet complete.
However, we have further updates in the pipeline. You can find an overview of the current development plans here:

In the near future, it will be possible to create an account on SquadTwitch. This will allow us to create a personalized experience for you. We will go into more detail in the following development plans about what this entails.

While saving electricity is important, the preference for the display of a website is even more important. That's why soon you will be able to choose between a Light Mode and a Dark Mode, deciding which display you prefer and setting it accordingly.

We want to give you the ability to move and arrange the stream windows as you like.

There are situations when only the main stream is important and the other streams are sufficient in a smaller size, for example, when watching a tournament of your favorite game. In this case, you can display the main stream large and position some of the participant streams small next to it to not miss anything. We plan to allow you to determine how the streams are displayed and where they should be placed on the page.

Now it gets interesting, doesn't it? We plan that you can log in directly with your Twitch account without having to go through an additional registration. This is also necessary for future planned features. Details on this in the following points.

The original plan was for you to create your own user account on SquadTwitch and then link it with your Twitch account. However, I have now decided to eliminate the large overhead of data synchronization, password forgotten functions, etc., since the data from Twitch is the most important anyway. Thus, this plan was discarded, and SquadTwitch will only support oAuth via Twitch.

Do you often watch the same streamers in parallel? In the future, you will be able to add already combined streams to your favorites, so you don't have to select them each time anew.

Not a fan of typing? No problem! Once you have linked your Twitch account with SquadTwitch, you will be able to simply select streamers from your follow list in the future, without having to type anything.

Do you watch fewer streams but write all the more in chat? We are planning a "Chat Enthusiasts Mode" where you can see and use all chats of the selected streams simultaneously. This way, you can chat in all streams at the same time and miss nothing!

Even though we program in English LOL and have already prepared most of it for multilingualism, there are still some purely German texts in some places. They need to go, plain and simple. The goal is to make the entire site available in English as well. Maybe even more languages in the future, but let's see.

Any other ideas?

SquadTwitch aims to grow with the community, therefore your input is essential! So, do you have ideas for new features, or have you found bugs?
